I have an idea
I have been thinking of taking this blog in a different direction. No, not away from politics.
I am just throwing this out there and want to see what people think, so read and leave your comments.
There is a commenter who comes to my blog by the name of Nick. He is a nice enough guy, though a little misguided as a liberal, lol. He always presents his ideas and opinions respectfully and guided by his facts.
I have been playing with the idea of making him, if he is interested, a co-contributor to this blog, just to have a divergent view around here.
I think this would increase traffic, allow a balanced view of everything and spark debate and dialogue which is my primary focus on here.
What do you think?
This will be a non-idea if Nick decides to decline my offer. So speak up Nick!

Sounds cool, but you may have to change the title to something like 'Both Sides of the Coin'. Believe it or not, even I am not always right leaning when it comes to some issues. I'm usually somewhere in the middle.

Nick...where are you man?
It is your blog, and I have no objections to traditional liberals (who are also conservative these days). If Nick is far enough to the left, he would be useable in order to show the mental disorder.
Otherwise, leftists and those of the few liberals who are their hangers-on already get plenty of exposure. Just turn on your TV.

We have yet to hear from him though, so it still remains to be seen.
I think the idea is very interesting. I suspect the two of you might want to agree to some ground rules and a framework in which to work. If you are both up to it who knows where it could lead.
I agree Dennis....its something that will need to be worked out concerning whats in good taste for both of us and what is off limits, I suspect the list will not be long at all as to what is off limits.
As far as I know, this is an original idea as far as political blogs go.

I just want to say I’m flattered. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Not to mention it’d be interesting to get something of a dual perspective thing going on. Besides, it gives me one more online political thing to annoy and confuse my girlfriend with (the most nonpolitical person I’ve ever met in my life. When we started dating, I asked her what party she was. She looked at me confused for a moment then asked me which one had the elephant. Apparently her conservative grandmother made her register Republican when she was 18, but she still has no idea at politics at all.).
