You miss the point sir...the point is that the main stream media is not paying attention to what is TRULY important to this country, and that is there are successes being made in Iraq and they are ignoring it because it does not fit their own agenda.

It has nothing to do with death, nothing to do with anything except an indictment of the media.

Dont be so hypersensitive ;)

What fantasy land do you live in where the people who like purple-finger democracy in Iraq are sitting quietly by, while lefties scream?

The success in Iraq? You mean that, ever since the fall of Saddam, Iraq has gotten more and more and more and more and more deadly?

The six month average for attacks against Iraqis and Americans is at a new high.

First off Josh, welcome to my blog, its nice to have a liberal who can rant without name calling respond to my posts.

2nd, I dont live in a fantasy land, I am in the real world. The fact that the elections have happened successfully 3 times seems to escape the media as a tactical success in Iraq. All one need do is look at the smiling faces and the pride shown in the step of those who proudly raise their purple finger in the air to let the world know they are celebrating their democracy.

Iraq got more deadly, but not for its citizens who were terrorised by the THOUSANDS by their ruler aka dictator. Are there terrorist attacks? Sure there are, but you are seeing more and more intelligence coming from the neighberhoods letting security forces (IRAQI security forces mind you) know abot IED's and plans for mass bombings.

Iraq...I contend...is LESS dangerous today to the average citizen than it was just 5 years ago when saying anything to anybody in a negative fashion would have earned you a 1 way trip to the firing squad.....if they didnt hang you from a lamppost first.
