Liberalism is a Mental Disorder (AKA Politics Suck)

A blog dedicated to holding our politicians accountable to We The People.

Gads, here we go again :\

Tammy Bruce tells us about a 2nd port deal being approved Now instead of our ports, they will have access to secrets on fighter planes and vehicles.

WTF is going on with Dubai that they have a distinct privelage in sharing in our secrets?

There is more here than meets the eye...lets see how it develops.

I would bet any amount of money that if Kennedy or Pelosi get wind that conservatives are unhappy, they will use it to their political advantage.

But then what do I know?

What the hell ever happened to American defense property had to be manufactured by American companies? Oh ya thats right the defense industry screwed the govt so bad the govt went elsewhere to get our stuff. Along with the fact that we just assemble pieces parts we dont make jack any more.

You know WMD, I am with you on this one, americans should be making the parts.

I have some insight though as to why it costs the government so darn much for parts and pieces....its beauracracy. For example:

My company has sold a few systems to military bases, by the time the approval process goes through (About 12 different people) and comes back down, it has cost the government 3 times as much in manhours than what it originally thought. GOD FORBID if anyone actually wants to correct something on the way back up or down. Its ridiculous.

Which is why a toilet seat costs 600.00 for the government to purchase.

Its like Eisenhower said, "Beware the Military-Industrial Complex".

Of course Kennedy or Pelosi would use this to their advantage. They're politicians. Of course, I'm sure that Frist of Boehner would do the same thing in their position.

This does worry me that a government so gung-ho against terrorism is giving control over the joint-strike fighter to a theocratic nation. The port deal I could at least understand. But this is ridiculous.

No arguments with you here Nick, it is ridiculous, and like I said, something else is going on that the american public does not know about, it will be interesting to see how it develops.

They wont have control of the JSF but they will have access to "trade restricted" information.
They are supposed to have in place methods to keep this info depatmentally classified. It has more to do with the transfer of advanced technology than any specific part of the aircraft.
However this amounts to a piece of paper that says they do, not an actual will to do so.

I first read about this story on Newsmax.com, I'm glad to see someone else pick up on it. If anything it's worse than the Ports Deal. The UAE is a very iffy ally.

Iffy ally? I will leave that to Kevin to answer, from his entries in his blog, he can answer it better than I will ever be able to
