Senator DeMint on the resolution to withold a troop surge

Senator DeMint puts it very succintly and calls the resolution what it is, "This resolution is a resolution of defeat and disgrace" DeMint gets it, what the hell is wrong with the other Senators that they do not? Are they really that STUPID?
Not only is this resolution being supported by the liberal idiots known as Kerry and Kennedy, but some RINOs have jumped on board to throw their support behind it. Senators Hagel, Warner, Collins, Smith, Voinovich and Brownback all have thrown their voice of support. These people are idiots first class and need to be called on this.
When are the American people going to WAKE UP and see what the hell is REALLY going on in Congress? When are the American people going to PAY ATTENTION to the truth?
Just remember, YOU VOTED FOR IT AMERICA. Congratulations

The surge is simply too little, too late. It would take putting all those new troops into baghdad just to quell that one city, according to what I've read of military theory, let alone the rest of the state.
Morever, we can not win the war. We were never able to. Now I know you're thinking something along the lines to "crazy defeatist socialist loony lib," but let me explain what I mean. An outside army can not win a guerilla civil war. All they can do is help one of the local factions win the war. The Iraqis largely do not want to fight for a unified Iraq. Each faction merely wants to fight to make sure their faction gets the biggest piece of the pie. Just look at the last election, where 90% of Iraqis voted for sectarian parties! Even the iraqi military and police forces have shown themselves to be largely sectarian. We can not win because the Iraqis do not want a unified, democratic Iraq, they merely want their own piece of the pie, and if they have to kill eachother to get it, oh well.

Tell me you were saying the same thing in the run up to the election Nick, and I will believe you.
I did in fact say the same thing in the run up for the election, and this has been my opinion since i started reading up on counterterrorism over the summer.
