If You Can't Take the Heat, Get Out of the Kitchen

Bye, bye Rosie! Apparently, she got tired of working with people who disagreed with her. Thank goodness and thank you Ms. Hasselbeck for not backing down!

From the Associated Press, via Yahoo!
Rosie O'Donnell has fought her last fight at `The View.' ABC said Friday she won't be back on the show following her angry confrontation with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Wednesday.

O'Donnell asked for, and received, an early exit from her contract. She was due to leave "The View" in mid-June.

"Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at `The View,'" show creator Barbara Walters said. "I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

In a statement, O'Donnell said she was grateful. "It's been an amazing year and I love all three women."

Presumably, that includes Hasselbeck. The two exchanged bitter words on Wednesday over O'Donnell's opposition to the war in Iraq. They've frequently had snippy political exchanges during O'Donnell's year on the daytime chatfest, but never as long and loud as that one.

Rosie is an eccentric imbecile that has far exceeded her level of competence with her influence on our society. She should be kept off the media completely.

even though rosie is opinionated,on the other had miss blonde surely brings blonde jokes to a new hight. she many times does not have facts and is over her head like trump said. In fact she is just a religous right, republican with no brains. maybe they need to get rid of her as well.

respect to TV what about all the other shit on TV. give it a break. MAYbe you should start in you our home first. And dont be so goodie goodie... your own kids could end up being gay or husband like most of them getting it on for a fast one in some bathroom with another guy, or your pastor getting it on with someone other than his wife. So think twice before you think rosies departure makes you tv better. ratings were never better for the view.

I am the same age as Rosie, and I am amazed at her childish antics. I am also amazed that she continues to shove her adgenda down everyone else throat, but seemingly has no respect for other peoples more conservative views. Who is this woman any how?? What gives her the right to speak for anyone?? She is nobody.

I watch this show so infrequently, I can barely be called objective, but this is the first time that I have seen Elizabeth win an argument. It has infuriated me that ABC put her in the "conservative" spot. Rosie (and the other two co-hosts) could not have gotten away with as much were they challenged by a conservative journalist the likes of Michelle Malkin.

I don't even watch the View. As a matter of fact, I watch very little TV and have been thinking of cancelling my cable. I'm tired of paying the high prices for mostly crap. I do enjoy the History Channel, the Discovery Channel and HGTV, though.
So, for the person who said I should start at home, believe me, I am way ahead of you on that one.
As for someone being gay, never cared. I never said anything about Rosie being gay. That's her business. What I am concerned about is the way she (and many others on TV) think they know what they are talking about when it comes to foreign policy etc. They truly have no idea and have no education in those areas and yet, because they are 'famous', they use their positions as a pulpit to bully others into their way fo thinking- right or wrong. I am a firm believer that actors, comedians, etc. should keep doing what they do best- entertain the masses.

Good riddance to moonbat rubbish. If she ever pulls a 'Paris' she should be sentenced to Hannity & Colmes so she can be verbally eviscerated by Sean.
