Lets see what others are saying

LT Smash reports on a "tolerant" left wing attack on an ROTC office. So much for diverse ideas being welcomed in a college setting huh?

Speed of Thought is number 1 on the google charts, Congrats Scott!

Raven Via Flight Pundit reminds us May 1st is Conservative Shopping day Lets not forget as well that May 1st is a communist holiday, interesting that the Mexicans would pick that day to boycott Capitalism...says something about their agenda I think.

Is Raven going feminazi on us? :P This of course is in jest, she makes some damn good points "Give me a tent and a man to love, I would be all set. I don’t need a mansion and a monthly allowance. " Why havent I met woman like this in Tucson? I know..because the woman here are shallow and pretentious with narrow minds.

Everyone can relax, Airborne Vet reports the 3 stooges are alive and well and have arrived

Expose the Left tells us about the hypocrisy of democrats and bitching about gas prices. SCREW YOU RED DIAPER DOPER BABIES

Real Teen Right on The Right reports on the ACLU and its program of defending pedophiles....The ACLU makes me SICK

Side note: There was a report on the news this morning about a spanish version of our national anthem...anyone have a story or link on that so I can go off on the destruction of our culture?

I have to go take care of some business...more later

Yes I have, and gas is cheaper in Red areas...its on Speed of Thoughts blog.

Of course the inference by liberals will be that they have cheaper gas because Bush is an evil oil mastermind and wants to keep his constituents happy, but if you compare economics of the areas with higher gas prices you will see its marketplace dictation.

It is interesting though, isnt it?

You're not trying to paint all liberals with this, are you? It's just some wackos.

"Raven Via Flight Pundit reminds us May 1st is Conservative Shopping day Lets not forget as well that May 1st is a communist holiday, interesting that the Mexicans would pick that day to boycott Capitalism...says something about their agenda I think."

Are you saying that all these illegals are reds? Or are you just looking for any excuse (as it seems) to demonize your opposition. *note that I am not in favor of illegal immigration amnesty; we should have a guest worker program*

"Everyone can relax, Airborne Vet reports the 3 stooges are alive and well and have arrived"

Are you really so infantile you have to resort to name-calling and cheap jokes? Come on, man. You're better than that.

"Expose the Left tells us about the hypocrisy of democrats and bitching about gas prices. SCREW YOU RED DIAPER DOPER BABIES"

See above. I don't even know what a red diaper doper baby is... is it a baby with hemmroids or something?

It is going to be so great when we throw the republicans out of office in November.

As always,

No I am not, but what I am saying is that conservative ideology and the military are not welcome on college campuses..the 1 place where they should be most welcomed.

"Are you saying that all these illegals are reds? "

No, I just wonder at their timing...of course they are lead by moveon.org...so do the math :)

"Or are you just looking for any excuse (as it seems) to demonize your opposition."

I dont need an excuse, they stand for everything I am against..ie the rule of law.

"Are you really so infantile you have to resort to name-calling and cheap jokes?"

Whats the matter, cant take a joke? Is calling them the 3 stooges offensive?

"See above. I don't even know what a red diaper doper baby is... is it a baby with hemmroids or something?"

No, its a historical reference to the babies of the baby boomers. I checked your favorite website and found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Michael_Savage_neologisms Although it is not a Michael Savage original statement.

"It is going to be so great when we throw the republicans out of office in November."

If Durbin, Obama, Kerry, Pelosi and Kennedy keep their big stupid mouths shut, the american sheeple will be blinded by the silence and unfortunately, you may be correct...I hope you arent since democrats have had all the power for 40 years and have ran the american worker and corporation into ruin and bankruptcy.

BTW, your response to my response in the other thread will not be posted....I am sure you will appreciate this since you used more swear words in your response to me than a drunken sailor on leave. I am sure you are just having a bad day, so if you want to respond to me in a better fashion, I welcome and encourage it. I don't use foul language with you, please extend me the same courtesy.

Except, of course, warrentless wire-taps. And torture.

"Whats the matter, cant take a joke? Is calling them the 3 stooges offensive?"

I'm not offended, I just think that one problem in this country is that both sides so often denigrate into stupid stuff like that. We have on obligation to keep the level of discussion above that.

The republicans, on the other hand, did it in only 16.

About the Spanish National Anthem, may I remind you that we are a nation made up of a mish-mash of different cultures, and that we have no official language.

Because a college campus is a place for open exchange of ideas and philosophies. If you ban the military from campus, then every other employer must be banned as well.

"Except, of course, warrentless wire-taps. And torture."

You are trying to veer the topic .. I have never said I am for warrantless wiretaps....show me where I have said this. Further, what makes you think I advocate torture? Again...when have I said that I do? And last..this is not about wiretaps or torture, this is about the rule of law as it relates to people who illegaly cross our borders.

"I'm not offended, I just think that one problem in this country is that both sides so often denigrate into stupid stuff like that. We have on obligation to keep the level of discussion above that."

So tell me again why it is ok for political satirists to make cartoons about leaders?

"The republicans, on the other hand, did it in only 16."

Last time I checked, the economy is doing well, the unemployment rate is down to a low and people are paying less taxes and yet we are prospering.

Splain that!

"About the Spanish National Anthem, may I remind you that we are a nation made up of a mish-mash of different cultures, and that we have no official language."

What a shame we do not have an official language....but you can not disagree that a majority of the people in this country speak english. As such, any attempt to change the predominant language to something other than english is an attack on american culture.

But the military is a discriminatory organization. Should the Klan be allowed on campus too? Both discriminate against others.

How can a government prosecute others for ignoring rule of law when it ignores rule of law itself?

When your glasses are rose-colored, you'd be suprised what you see.

Americans back in the day didn't celebrate St. Patrick's day, but here comes these damn Irish who do. Isn't that an attack on American Culture? Here comes these damn Italians who eat spaghetti instead of good ol' American food. Isn't that an attack on American culture? Maybe instead of looking at this as an attack of American culture, look at it as an enhancement. Stop being so paranoid of other cultures.

Do you want to cite some examples or am I supposed to be a mind reader?

If I remember correctly, the Irish didnt try singing the national anthem in their native language, they LEARNED english and SANG IT IN ENGLISH. The Italians didnt try and sing the national anthem in Italian, they LEARNED english and SANG IT IN ENGLISH. Nice try at shifting the focus, but wrongo. I am not afraid or paranoid of other cultures, I welcome them and want to learn about them, but DAMMIT, this is OUR country, we speak English, we sing our national anthem in english and we communicate in English.

Is that ok with you comrade?

There's no law saying we do. Custom, yes, but there was a custom in this country that we didn't eat spaghetti or celebrate st. patrick's day.

"The discussion is employers, not organisations. "

If the Klan was offering jobs, then, would it be alright?

"Do you want to cite some examples or am I supposed to be a mind reader?"

Warrentless wire-taps, condonement of torture.

WHo said it was a custom not to eat spaghetti? Can you prove your assertion...beyond a reasonable doubt..that noone ate spaghetti? Also, can you prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that there was NOONE in the country that did not celebrate St Patricks day? Your points of argument are silly..requiesce and save face.

"If the Klan was offering jobs, then, would it be alright?"

The klan does not offer jobs, so your argument holds no water, give me a legitimate employer besides the military and you will have a talking point. I deal with facts, not hypotheticals.

"Warrentless wire-taps, condonement of torture."

The warrentless wire taps is a power given to the President by Congress...LAWFULLY. So try again. As for condonement of torture..noone condones torture, and those who have been accused of it have been brought to trial and dealt with in a lawful manner. Or do you forget that little point?

BTW..you should probably know that I am in my angry phase this week, so if my comments seem sharp around the edges, feel free to respond in like manner....as I reap I shall sow

I never said that NO ONE ate spaghetti, just like you'd be wrong in saying that NO ONE spoke spanish before now. I'm saying that it was not often done in America before the Italian immigration wave. Nowdays, spaghetti is a very common dish in America. Samw with the Irish and St. Patrick's day. What's the difference between those and spanish?

"The klan does not offer jobs, so your argument holds no water, give me a legitimate employer besides the military and you will have a talking point. I deal with facts, not hypotheticals."

Alright, the Knights party; the Knights party is a political party that is more or less the political wing of the the KKK *resists adding "besides the republican party as a joke"*. I am sure they'd need secrataries and the like. Should they be allowed to try to hire on campuses?

"The warrentless wire taps is a power given to the President by Congress...LAWFULLY. "

Under what law? And even if it was, it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL, the highest law in the land.

"As for condonement of torture..noone condones torture, and those who have been accused of it have been brought to trial and dealt with in a lawful manner. Or do you forget that little point?"

What about Dick Cheney, who tried to carve a loop-hole in the McCain amendment. What about George Bush, who threatened to veto it?

Hey, we all have phases. It's cool.

There is no difference, the problem I have is that the italians learned the national anthem in English because they endeavoured to LEARN english. It was a responsibility.

Besides...have you seen the lyrics to the national anthem as done in Spanish? INCLUDING the chorus?

"Alright, the Knights party; the Knights party is a political party that is more or less the political wing of the the KKK "

Political parties do not hire on college campuses, and they usual rely on volunteers. But let me ask you this, what makes it ok for Marxist literature to be distributed on college campuses but not ok for literature from the military OR the KKK?

"Under what law?"

Under the legislation that was passed after 9/11. If you dont know it, dont argue it.

"And even if it was, it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL, the highest law in the land."

If it is unconstitutional then why is it presidents in the past have used the same authority with no problems? What makes Bush so special that he warrants the attack? OH THAT IS RIGHT...its Bush! *Sarcasm intended*

"What about Dick Cheney, who tried to carve a loop-hole in the McCain amendment. "

You mean McCaint? The aboration and next victim of the conservative push for true Republicans in congress? McCaint is an idiot

"What about George Bush, who threatened to veto it?"

Because it was bad legislation, and covered what is already covered under the Geneva Convention WHICH by the way does not apply to the prisoners on Gitmo because they are TERRORISTS and not enemy combatants

Who said that many of them don't speak english? From what I understood, translating it into English was for other reasons than being too lazy to learn english.

"Political parties do not hire on college campuses, and they usual rely on volunteers. But let me ask you this, what makes it ok for Marxist literature to be distributed on college campuses but not ok for literature from the military OR the KKK?"

I don't think that anything that advocates violent overthrow of the government, like marxism, should be on college campuses. But you avoid my question. Why should campuses let a bigoted group like the military recruit on campus?

You are horrible at putting words in my mouth. I challenge you to go a week without doing so. You head would probably explode from the pressure of doing so. You really need to cut down on the straw men.

"Under the legislation that was passed after 9/11. If you dont know it, dont argue it."

No, I know the one you're talking about. Show me where it says "warrentless wire taps without FISA approval all alright".

"If it is unconstitutional then why is it presidents in the past have used the same authority with no problems? What makes Bush so special that he warrants the attack? OH THAT IS RIGHT...its Bush! *Sarcasm intended*"

It's different, Clinton had FISA oversight, Bush didn't.

Also, "other people did it" doesn't make something right. Please explain to me how this is constitutionally acceptable. I implore you.

Have I shown a psychological hatred of Bush? Have I shown any reason for opposing him other than rational disagreement? Stop trying to paint me as a whacko just for being a liberal.

"Because it was bad legislation, and covered what is already covered under the Geneva Convention WHICH by the way does not apply to the prisoners on Gitmo because they are TERRORISTS and not enemy combatants "

Actually, they were more appropriately classified as guerillias; they were irregular soldiers fighting us in Afghanistan; that's where most of them came from.

The amendment was a bad law? that's why 90 senators voted in favor of it? The law was not already covered by the Geneva Convention, which is why we passed it. Even if it was, what would the harm be of passing it? And why did dick cheney try to carve a loop hole in it for the CIA?

Do you think we should be able to torture people at gitmo? Do you think Bush and Cheney were trying to do anything other than allow torture? Pleasee explain your twisted, for lack of a better word, logic to me.

There is no reason to translate a song which is the symbol of OUR country into a chance to hate the gringo.

"Why should campuses let a bigoted group like the military recruit on campus?"

And I ask you again, what makes it ok for marxist, communist, socialist and other ideologies that are anti-american..read liberalism...be allowed on campus?

"You are horrible at putting words in my mouth. I challenge you to go a week without doing so. You head would probably explode from the pressure of doing so. You really need to cut down on the straw men."

Sorry you feel that way, if it bothers you, dont let the door hit you where the good lord split you.

"No, I know the one you're talking about. Show me where it says "warrentless wire taps without FISA approval all alright"."

It doesnt, but it also does not call for FISA approval. BTW .. if this is so unconstitutional, why isnt it in court yet? MAYBE its because the demorats (Mis-spelled on purpose) have no legal basis to challenge it, only the words that they utter which the pollys (Parrots) of the world repeat as valid points. Use your brain man, if it was truly unconstitutional without a doubt, SOMEONE would have filed suit to have it stopped.

"It's different, Clinton had FISA oversight, Bush didn't."

Not true...just plain not true.

"Please explain to me how this is constitutionally acceptable."

Please explain to me how it the wiretaps are unconstitutional?

"Have I shown a psychological hatred of Bush? Have I shown any reason for opposing him other than rational disagreement? Stop trying to paint me as a whacko just for being a liberal."

No you havent, however, you have not given him credit where credit is due, as such, I paint you with the same brush as those who screech incessantly that Bush is Hitler reincarnate

"The amendment was a bad law? that's why 90 senators voted in favor of it? "

90 out of how many? For what reasons?

"The law was not already covered by the Geneva Convention, which is why we passed it."

Oh I am sorry, I thought torture of prisoners was prohibited under the geneva convention relative to the treatment of prisoners of war.

"Do you think we should be able to torture people at gitmo? "

Contrary to what the drive by media would have you believe, there is no torture going on..unless you count prisoners getting 4000 calories a day, all the items they need to practice their religion, calls home and other niceties as torture

"Pleasee explain your twisted, for lack of a better word, logic to me."

I have explained it, if you can not see the forest for the trees, well, I dont know what to tell you.

Who said they hate the gringo? all but a small minority don't. And why can't a symbol of our country be in Spanish? English isn't our national language, lest you forget. We don't have one. We're a country open to everyone, lest you forget. While it is true that the illigal immigrants are wrong, don't start demonizing the legal ones. Typical of your party, you seem to be playing the race card.

"And I ask you again, what makes it ok for marxist, communist, socialist and other ideologies that are anti-american..read liberalism...be allowed on campus? "

You avoid the question. I have answered yours, if you would actually read my posts, you would see this. I said that I am against marxists advertising on school.

You republicans see anything that is against what you believe to be right as evil and unamerican. You are no worse than those shrill haters you mention. Please pull your head out of your anal cavity.

"No you havent, however, you have not given him credit where credit is due, as such, I paint you with the same brush as those who screech incessantly that Bush is Hitler reincarnate"

You know, you are just as shrilly anti-liberal as those you accuse are anti-Bush. You are no better than them. And I do not believe Bush is hitler-reincarnate, so stop accusing me of being that type of liberal.

"90 out of how many? For what reasons?"

90 out of 100 senators. Have you forgotten how many senators there are? I assume they don't think that America, a country that should stand for liberty and humanity, should be tainted by torture.

"Oh I am sorry, I thought torture of prisoners was prohibited under the geneva convention relative to the treatment of prisoners of war."

You actually thought for once? I'm shocked. The prisoners in this war fall through cracks in the Geneva, which is why this resolution was needed.

"Contrary to what the drive by media would have you believe, there is no torture going on..unless you count prisoners getting 4000 calories a day, all the items they need to practice their religion, calls home and other niceties as torture"

Yes, that is why Amnesty International, a human-rights organization, compared gitmo to a gulag. and what about all those top secret black sites we have? What do you think is going on there?

Why did Cheney try to carve a loophole in the amendment?

"It doesnt, but it also does not call for FISA approval. BTW .. if this is so unconstitutional, why isnt it in court yet? MAYBE its because the demorats (Mis-spelled on purpose) have no legal basis to challenge it, only the words that they utter which the pollys (Parrots) of the world repeat as valid points. Use your brain man, if it was truly unconstitutional without a doubt, SOMEONE would have filed suit to have it stopped."

There's actually a lawsuit working its way through the courts right now. Those take a few years.

Under FISA, the government has 3 days to get an after-the-fact warrent, which is still legally a warrent. There is no warrent at all in this.

Warrentless wire-tapping is illegal under the fourth amendment. the fourth amendment reads, 'The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.' People have the right to be secure against searches unless a warrent is obtained. I really don't how this isn't in violation of the fourth amendment. Please enlighten me.
