Life in prison for Moussaoui
Jury reaches verdict for al-Qaida conspirator on 7th day of deliberations

The man admits it, then gets life for it instead a quick painful death.

I say we add a painted portrait of George Bush to his ceiling and pipe in Shrillary Clinton screaming every 5 minutes. Really make his stay pleasant...you know?

You're a christian, if I'm not mistaken, and you want someone to die? Sounds unchristian to me. Would Jesus support the death penalty?

Alright then, show me where in the New Testament, it condones the taking of human life. Are you so without sin that you would cast the first stone?

Also, I think this a dangerous precident, executing people for things they didn't do.

Geez, give me a challenge will ya? Everything I have to say on this subject is explained here: http://www.learnthebible.org/death_penalty.htm

"Are you so without sin that you would cast the first stone?"

No, and I wouldnt, and you miss the point of the story that was told...read what the webpage above has to say about it.

"Also, I think this a dangerous precident, executing people for things they didn't do."

Who says he didnt do it? Yeah yeah, I know, he is now recanting his guilty plea...too late. He plead guilty and is now trying to work the system such as the case with these guys....he knew what he was doing when he plead guilty, he had the WHOLE trial to speak up and change his plea and now he will rot ... I want him dead .. but he will rot.

It dismisses the story of the adultress with pure speculation of what he MIGHT have been writing. Not a strong case.

Paul said that the since he followed the law, the government has a right to kill him, that doesn't mean he supported the death penatly, merely the rule of law.

True, there was death penalty under the mosaic law, but notice that christians no longer follow it, so that's a moot point. I shaved this morning, I had shellfish a few weeks ago. Notice that no one's stoning me. Notice cursing your parents is no longer punishable by death.

Your website takes quite a leap of faith and assumptions. It is not conclusive at all. But what's wrong? You don't know your own holy book well enough to argue without a damn website? Maybe you should actually read it.

Gotta go, i have a class coming up. more later.

But NONETHELESS he never derided them for wanting to stone her. Conclusive in my book

"Paul said that the since he followed the law, the government has a right to kill him, that doesn't mean he supported the death penatly, merely the rule of law."

Again..he never derided or said the death penalty was wrong.

"True, there was death penalty under the mosaic law, but notice that christians no longer follow it, so that's a moot point. I shaved this morning, I had shellfish a few weeks ago. Notice that no one's stoning me. Notice cursing your parents is no longer punishable by death."

Times have changed and rules have been adapted to fit the societal expectations of its citizens. The basic premise has NEVER changed though, and that is the government has a rule of law, and you are expected to follow it or face the consequences of not doing so.

"Your website takes quite a leap of faith and assumptions."

Its a faith based website, but I see no assumptions.

"But what's wrong? You don't know your own holy book well enough to argue without a damn website?"

I do know the book well enough, it was easier to point you to a previously written opinion of my views then copy/paste or even retype it.

"Maybe you should actually read it."

I have, and I have taught it to youth when I was a youth minister. I also have led Sunday school classes.

I can agree with the not making him a martyr arguement the prosecutor had. I hope they put him in with the sex offenders. I also think they should have him take rides on the bomb retrieval robot.

"WHOSOEVER SHEDDETH MAN'S BLOOD, BY MAN SHALL HIS BLOOD BY SHED: for in the image of God made he him" (Gen. 9:5-6)

The Death Penalty is Biblical, and it goes for murderers, terrorists, gays and people working on a Sunday.
