Message/ Comment:
Your Honor,

On September 21, 2006 I sent you a letter asking for a redress on the
9/11 memorial in Downton Wesley Bolin Plaza. At the time there was
controversy over some of the wording on the memorial and your constituents were
concerned about what kind of message this conveys to the WORLD about
our views on what happened that tragic day, 9/11/2001.

As of today, there still has not been any word on commission plans to
meet publicly and allow us to air our grievances. Our contention is that the
commission for the most part met in secret, wasnt forthcoming with information on the controversial wording on the memorial and has effectively closed the lines of communication with the public (The website has all contact info taken down for the members of the commission) This is a travesty ma'am, and we demand to be heard!

The people of Arizona deserve to hear about this and draw conclusions, but the media has been quiet and not aired or written anything thought provoking or lengthy on this subject. There are people that are offended, still, with this memorial your honor, and the deserve to be heard. Families that have lost people in the tragedy who were friends, brothers, fellow firefighters, sisters and families of military people who have died figthing the terrorists.

Your honor, I ask that you please respond to this with some direction and guidance. Your complicit silence on this issue is a slap in the face to every Arizonan who is affected by this memorial, both in a positive fashion and a negative fashion. We deserve closure on this ma'am, and I ask that you provide that for us once and for all.

Thank you for taking the time to hear me out and I pray that you will
do the right thing by your constituency and respond to this letter.

Thank you,

Dennis XXXXXXX
